He was still elected President. They have the Electoral College for a reason, rather than going by number of votes nation wide. I forgot what it was, but it was good. thank you JadeGriffon. if you dont like the electoral college, then change it.

That's kind of hard considering I'm a 16 year old high school student who can't even vote. And a lot of people who actually have the power to change it like it the way it is...but then, they're politicians and like having power.

Okay...let God judge i agree...
and trying to change your lust for homosexuality im not trying to change for heterosexuality...Im just saying that Lust of anysorts (homo or hetero or bi) is immoral and should be suppressed and shouldnt be done. I do it myself though and am asking that others do more than i have the will and stregnth to do myself only because i know it is wrong...I am trying not to sin, im not saying homosexuality is wrong only because of the bible, im saying it is lust...
further...i support bush's plan to ban homosexual marriages...i do not think a marriage can apply to a man or woman...thats like saying that i can qualify for an african american affirmative action plan, its not fair that just they can apply...thats rediculous...its just for blacks, as marriages are for men and women, a union is not fine, and i dont support it, but thats not my buisness...they can do what they want, i dont have the right to judge, dictate, or critisize their lives and actions, but i do have the right to say, the concept of a marriage does not apply to two men or two women...it just doesnt, not because its wrong, it just doesnt work...
but i do not support bush's reasoning behind his ammendment, his own morals/ethics/religion should not interfere with our government, because it is a body meant to reflect only the morals that are extreme and nessacary and in conformity with the general public, they dont have the right and shouldnt...to express their own morals upon us...
though i support his morals (this is speically for brief) i do not support the morals of Clinton, and i didnt want him waiving his morals upon us...the sepearation between the government and morals was made and should be upheld, morals are for individuals, not to be suppressing or dictating...
Further, the electoral college is being debated upon wether it should be changed because it does not reflect the will of the people, Bush had the most votes overall, although he was the least wanted of the three major candidates...why? becuase of the split votes of the majority, and the electoral college supports what was voted and this is why it is flawed...

I don't want to turn this into a religious rant but your whole religion revolves around the bible. People use this to justify the immorality of homosexuality. You cannot change your sexuality. You might try to, marry a christian girl, have 2.5 kids with a white picket fence, but that will be just an act. It's like me. I can't hide my (for example) perverted side, my side that has an x-rated joke for everything. I can just not say anything out loud but I will still be thinking it. Also like Swanny said (though I'm not Christian/Catholic), let god judge. ^^ As for Bush, well if I say what's on my mind, it will turn into a long rant. In short, he's an ass and I hope he doesn't win re-election. That amendment is just bullshit. Marriage is the civil union between two people. It doesn't matter your religion, race, and I can't see why gender should matter. Wrong and...wrong. Everyone can change. You may not think you can change your perverted side, but you can. People aren't just born with a tendency that they can't change. That's absurd. I can't be born with an innate need to kill or crack sexual jokes that i can't change. I may be affected or influenced in my life by things that may cause me to be violent or immature, but that does not mean i can't break those tendencies (unless i had a mental disorder that really isn't irreversible...is that what you have since you can't change?). What do you say is the point of marriage? Do you think it is just for two people to get together to "love" and have sex? Can't you do that even when you're not married? The point of marriage is for a man and a woman, to come together and to truly love, and yes, have sex. The point is to procreate...its that simple. Marriage wouldn't be needed if all it was was the legal union of two people regardless of gender or race. Two people of the same sex can only live together and "love" eachother and have "sex", but why, then, do they need to be married? Its perfectly legal to do that outside of being married.

I just don't understand how being gay directly concerns you. It's not affecting your chances of getting into heaven and if you don't like it you can simply choose not to look at it. It's originally none of your business so why do you choose to make it yours?

Bottom line is, who gives a shit what our definition of marriage is? It means different things to different people. It's all based on point of view. The Christians didn't invent marriage, ya know. It all comes down to letting people do whatever the fuck makes them happy. It's like how we look down upon marriages based on sex or money. Why? Cuz they don't have love. And really, in the end, that's what it's all about; love. So fuck it, let 'em get married, hats off to them.

It's originally none of your business so why do you choose to make it yours? Well, the Bible says we should care about others. Helping people stop homosexuality and thus allowing them a shot at heaven is caring about others. It seems there is something wrong with me. Everyone only cares about themselves, but I don't. Whats up with that? I'm not being visicious(sp?) or sarcastic. It really sometimes does feel like I'm wired differently then others, but now I'm off topic so I'll shut my gob.

I'm just curious... to all the ppl who say "the bile says it's wrong" or something to that effect, i wonder what would your standing on this issue would be if their was no bible. Think with your mind and not with you bible and tell me why homosexuality is wrong in a purely non-religious way.

Well, though its hard for something to be non-religious, since religion is part of everything in life, I would say it is against the natural way things are supposed to work. Bad things can some out of defying nature. Like building a major city on a fault-line, its not wise to do.
