I, also, am NOT planning on reading 22 pages of posts. Homosexuality is no more wrong than Downs Syndrome. True homosexuality, scientists are currently looking into, is caused by slight mutation. Meaning it is genetic. Meaning GOD PUT IT THERE. Now, I'm sure there are some people who just "try it out." Some people who are gay because of traumatic experiences in their past. I still see no problem with homosexuality. If I had been raped several times by a man, I wouldn't be surprised to find myself changing preferences FAST. And everyone experiments, its a part of finding who you are. If anyone whips their Bibles out on me, I end with this remark: The section of the Bible that condemns homosexuality is the same part which said it is okay to kill a starving child for stealing food to survive, and it is okay to beat your wife. Amen...You can't change who you are. Surpressing your desires is bullshit, as you can end up with psychological damage. Nobody chooses to be homosexual. Would you want to be labled as a "sinner" by people who believe they're right because the "bible tells them so"? You are who you are and just need to be true to yourself. During the Holocaust, Jews couldn't change who they were, that they weren't the "superior race" that they (according to Nazi definition) weren't a part of. The killing of millions was wrong, but the Nazis didn't see it that way and justified their actions as right.

but we all are sinners, we all fall short of what we are required...we all deserve death...and its not jus because the bible tells us so...its because we have Faith in the True God...
and you can change your sexuality...it is not something that defines you, but an action and a series of choices, metal/social/psycological pulls, temptation. Just because you have strong tendencies to murder, and are borderline, doesnt mean just go on and be what your feeling you should do despite us who tell you your wrong "becuase the bible tells us so"...

like i was starting to say before
some people are born with the need to lust, some people are born with the feeling that they have to say God**** all the time, and some people are born homesexuals.
we can't condem them because we are just as horrible as them in God's eyes and we are not perfect and shouldn't be bragging about being homesexual. only God can judge, if a luster doesn't repent and a homosexual doesn't repent, they'll go to a same place. and visa versa.

I can't believe that fuckface Bush wants to make banning same-sex marriages a constitutional amendment. He even openly admitted that religion had something to do with his reasoning. Just the audacity of that stupid son of a bitch, trying to force his beliefs upon other people. The only other reason he had was that he was getting pressure from his conservative buddies. Kinda like how he was persuaded to destroy the environment for his oil pals. Ooooooooh, we gotta shut that cocksucker down. And if not, someone's gotta assassinate his ass. Just who the hell does he think he is?

I don't want to turn this into a religious rant but your whole religion revolves around the bible. People use this to justify the immorality of homosexuality. You cannot change your sexuality. You might try to, marry a christian girl, have 2.5 kids with a white picket fence, but that will be just an act. It's like me. I can't hide my (for example) perverted side, my side that has an x-rated joke for everything. I can just not say anything out loud but I will still be thinking it. Also like Swanny said (though I'm not Christian/Catholic), let god judge. ^^ As for Bush, well if I say what's on my mind, it will turn into a long rant. In short, he's an ass and I hope he doesn't win re-election. That amendment is just bullshit. Marriage is the civil union between two people. It doesn't matter your religion, race, and I can't see why gender should matter.

Indeed, I can't believe how much this country hasn't matured. Just so long ago interracial marriage was a gigantic controversy. For shit's sake, if people want to get married, just let them. It has no negative effect on anyone. Oppressive rat bastards.

I'm sure every president has let their religion influence their decisions in office. It is their morals and ethics. Its impossible not to. And on judging others. No, you shouldn't judge others, because everyone will be judged in the end and you too are far from flawless. However, helping others avoid sin (by stopping sinful behaviour) is not wrong, because it shows you care about them, and love them.

if hes president, then the citizens must've liked him enough to let him stand up for what he believes in No,not really. He has less votes, yet he won.So the majority of people didn't want him to stand up for what he believes and didn't want him to be president.

No,not really. He has less votes, yet he won.So the majority of people didn't want him to stand up for what he believes and didn't want him to be president. He was still elected President. They have the Electoral College for a reason, rather than going by number of votes nation wide. I forgot what it was, but it was good.
