What are your beliefs about homosexuals in society; men and women that is?
Most people don't think about this and think that its okay, but i don't. so only read on if you're serious about discussing this topic. And u might be offended, but i really don't care.
Mine: Personally, i believe that homosexuals should not be treated equally in every respect. They should be given equal rights in most areas, but lets face it: homosexuality is NOT normal. Thats true b/c its never been viewed as normal during any time period in any empire around the world and throughout history.
Hypothetical situation to prove a point: (island 1) equal numbers of heterosexual men and women. (island 2) equal numbers of homosexual men and women. Come back in 100 years - island 1 may be thriving, and island 2 is dead b/c homsexuals can not reproduce, which is part of why its wrong in society.
Also as food for thought, there is a difference between a man and a guy. A man is strong and upright and all that, and a guy....well guy is only one vowel away from gay - think about it.

Umm no..
This will be the first time some people I know IRL will hear my beliefs on this and you know what? I don't really give a fuck.
I believe people are BORN homosexual and that's their sexual prefrence NOTHING ELSE!
They're not all child molesters who sit around having orgies all day.. that my friend is a stereotype.
I think people should just treat them normal and leave them the fuck alone!
I am so sick of hearing people call homosexual "Faggots who just need to go away."

The fact of the matter is that its NOT NORMAL. Its not human nature. And b/c of that they can't be born homosexual.
Its simply the way they act, and when people act abnormally they are criticized. When i meet someone gay i don't go out of my way to slam on them or anything. They're not necessarilly bad people, but their "sexual preference" is completely askew and they are wrong.

i think gay people are fine. the only problem i have is that queer eye for a strait guy. its not that i have a problem with gay people on tv or movies because personally i think elton john is an awesome musician and ian McKlelan or Gandalf or Magneto is a great actor. i just think that queer eye show is exploiting gay people. maybe i am wrong but thats what i believe

Who are you to decide what's RIGHT and what's WRONG?
Just leave them the fuck alone.. it's as simple as that.

Not exploiting them. The major problem i have against homesexuality mainly lies with the fucking media. It promotes it!!!!!!!! With fucking shows like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and another show i saw about gay marriages.
Most of this shit is based on the trendy touchy feely way of believing stuff. But there are just some hardcore truths you can't get around, and that homesexuality is wrong is one of them!

I think for people to like other people of the same sex isn't the "norm" but I have no problem with it.
But people having sex with other people of the same sex,now that I am against.

Actually, homosexuality is somewhat controlled by genetics. If you are the second son in a family, you are 40% more genetically probable of being gay. There is absolutely, positively, NOTHING "wrong" with being gay. I know several people who are gay, and they are completely functional and normal. Do you know why homosexuality is such a big deal? Because gays are afraid that their life is now labeled as "wrong" because of who they'd rather fuck. Just like these religious zealot shits who think God hates gay people, so they should too. If God doesn't want 'em, then why doesn't he just wipe them off of the goddamn planet? I'll tell you why, it's because there's not a goddamn thing wrong with being gay. Saying gay people are not normal people is like saying black people are not normal people. They're both minorities. That doesn't have shit to do with whether they deserve to exist or not. Just who are we to say what is right and wrong?

The topic got locked before...I couldn't save my previous post so I forgot half of what I said....here's what I remember.
--warning, another long post--- If by "rights" you mean marriage, I think that they should be given the right to marraige [though George Bush himself called it an abnormal union or something, that bastard]. I am not religious in any sense of the word, but it seems to me that people try to hide their bigotry under the veil of it being "unnatural" and against the bible. I can't see anyone calling themselves a follower of Christ, and yet follow old testements of hate and be intolerant. Because he said we were to not judge, and to love. Ok, enough about religion. It makes my head hurt.
There is a very high divorce rate in todays times. It seems to me that if a man and a woman can get drunk of their asses and head over to some "drive through chapel" to get married, gay and lesbian should be granted that right as well.
Some religons are accepting of homosexuality. The vatican I belive is about to launch an aniti-gay campaign. Bush is a typical texas republican, against abortion (he limited Stem Cell research, the bastard), and to men or women in love. Of course, changing the laws further against bisexuals would cause riots. Religion and Gov. don't mix...[scattered thoughts]
I don't belive that people are born gay or lesbian. There is no proof for that, and it has been studied. Everybody is unique. As a child, the community around you, imprints you. I'm not saying that a gay person was brought up in a gay community. Rebellion, growing up with all girls, television...vague, but since I'm not a guy it's very hard to explain.
I am bisexual so I'm curious Wilson (and others), what are your views on bi's? [actually this is a short post ^_^;]

actually there's no proof of that. Think about this: God gives all people free will. If he makes gays, he also then makes murderers, and theives, and also great people. But hey.....wait a minute.....here's an idea.......what if being gay was an act of free will, a choice. Hmmmmm, thus if you believe in God at all you can see how he didn't make people gay.

For someone non-religous it can be hard to see through the veil that the media has placed over gay marriages. They promote them and suggest that they are okay. But another issue i don't want to delve into is abortion, which is obviously wrong. I can not believe people would promote abortion....don't just make an unsupported statement, but look at pictures of abortions and tell me if you don't change ur mind.
