lets try to keep this discussion fairly clean, please site any statistics because both sides of the issue are liable to skew them.
for now im gonna go with option 3, but even that could get pretty sketchy. i think that if there is a chance for either the baby or the mother to survive then the mother has an obligation to go through with it, but thats a tough situation and i could be swayed either way. rape again is a tough issue, but i think aborting the baby (it is unlikely for this to happen, but it is possible and does happen) would do little if anything to help the victom.

I'd say three and four, but since you cannot confirm rape, legal. and speaking from experience (well, not technically mine, but people I know) when you get raped, you'd rather abort the baby with a kitchen knife (it has been done) than let it be born, so I'd have to disagree with you on 4.
also, dispite what I heard in Fr. Ryan's class, no, there is no "rape test" the rape kits only identify who did it IF you can prove it was done, not whether or not you have been raped, I'm afraid someone had misinformed him.

so I'd have to disagree with you on 4. yeah, thats tough like i said. i can understand the abortion that way, even if dont neccassarily agree with it.

i would also go with three and four in this case, much like Alia, becuase if a women didn't consent to having a baby or sexual intercourse then there shouldn't have to be a baby obligation, in the case of rape.

two wrongs dont make a right.
why shall we kill the baby even though it was forced upon the woman. it is not the baby's fault that it came into existance. so why kill it. people say that it is not living yet, but it is. and once again the people who are for abortion and say that america is a "free" country and that the woman should have a choice of having the baby or not. so again i say america isnt totally free or i could go and kill someone and i wouldnt go to prison and have no punishment forced upon me. so wouldnt killing a unborn baby like killing a person who is born? even if you kill the baby 2 seconds after it is born is murder. its not much different that killing it while it is in the woman's womb.

The Chaun holds that it is always wrong to abort, but there are complications. The Chaun says that, in the case of rape, sure it's disgusting, but it's not the kids fault.
The only time abortion is semi-okay is when the woman's life is at stake. Children, as Mr. Hill says, are always a good, but, to be practical, grown women can have more children if they survive the pregnancy. The Chaun knows that this is a testy area, but what if the doctors let the baby live and then both the mother and her child die? Then we lose two lives instead of one.

ill disregard the previous statement.
moving on
abortion isn't right any way you look at it. whether or not the mother was raped, or whether she will die, or whether it was just because she didn't want to have it, killing the baby is not right. abortion is murder, period. you are taking something that is alive, not just some animal, it is a human whether it is fully formed or not, and you are directly preventing it from having a life by killing it. what abortionists do is literally rip the baby apart in the womb and extract it (skull and spine, ribs, legs, arms, etc...). often times, especially with later abortions, the baby is already completely formed, it just needs to grow more. but even with early ones, there is already human life there, present, and an abortion ends it.
so i believe no matter what the conditions, abortion is not right. a mother or doctor does not have the right to decide the fate of another human life, the only one who has that right is God.

I think it is always wrong.
So the mother didn't want the child/was raped. It still doesn't give her the right to take a lfie away.

i am very strong against it, but for a different view on it...
if you abort a child it is legal, although it is intentional murder...
if you kill a women in a car accident who is one month pregnant or greater, then you can be charged for two cases of murder, although it is accidental...
The accidental killing is a worse charge than purposefully killing it...does that make sense?

No it doesn't,but just because a law is a law doesn't make it moral or right.

I am totally against abortion unless it's in a case of absolute emergency. If the woman was raped, too bad for her, she can put the baby up for adoption. People need to learn to accept the consequences of their actions.

I think abortion isn't very moral, but I also think that people should be allowed to make thier own decisions. Some lady wants an abortion, shit, let her have one, it doesn't bother me and she gets what she wants. Why interfere with someone's life? Who is any person to say "you can't do what you want to with your own body" to anybody?

Now let's consider why people abort. It's because they don't want the baby. So if we let the baby live, it grows up in a family that doesn't want it. And we all know how wonderful those people turn out. I say abortion is a mercy killing. Just don't bring the kid into life if that life is going to consist mainly of pain, neglect and abuse. It's also a preventative measure. Kids that grow up in a cold, unloving household have much higher chances of becoming psychotic, homicidal, etc. Just look at Hitler. Now there's a little bastard who shouldn'ta made it past the first trimester.
I shall now await the barrage of replies and accusations of my status as a baby killer........
