how come no one has even mentioned paige or collens? i realize that hendrix, clapton, and SRV were all great, amazing guitarists, but paige and collens both did some pretty great stuff too, come on... free bird and stairway, not impossible or even that individual, but still probably both recognized as the greatest songs of the genre, because they move you

i think you guys are missing some key guitar players Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen... Duh) Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) Angus Young (ACDC) Dave Gilmore (Pink Floyd) Sid Barrett (Pink Floyd's original Guitarist) Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) George Harrison (The Beatles) Frank Zappa Les Paul BB King Muddy Waters Buddy Guy Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
these are just a few helpful suggestions

ill give you as far as talent, not quality music...sid barret...keith richards...BB King...and Frank Zappa...other than that...well maybe Tony Imorri...the others just arent comparable...and the majority of the skil was intergration with the other insturments...maybe we should have like composure gods fourm...but the top dogs are hendrix clapton srv and paige...really...i just dont think the others are nearly as oustanding, impressive, and/or consistant...
