SRV still had the skills to dominate over Hendrix. His palying style was just like Hendrix.

stop being contradictory. You just said SRV "dominated" Hendrix, and then in the very next sentence said that their playing styles were "just like" each other.
Two things wrong, A. their styles were not really like each other. One was blues, one was rock. B. you mentioned that one was better, then stated how similar they were. Very confusing.

and just because one was rock and the other one was blues does not have anything to do with their styles of playing the guitar. Ganre has nothing to do with the style of the musitian.

type (genre) of music has everything to do with style! Style is the type of music plus the way they play. Stevie had a bluesy/funky style and Hendrix had a rock/funk style. Two separate things. And please type with both hands.

not blues at all??? what??? not straight blues, but the songs...were all basic blues bass...with a little more pace, the guitar kept the pattern, just some psychedelic rock...i mean not straigh blues, but very much so blues influence, and blues is a strong part of his music...especialy with the band of the gypsies...

well, im not too familiar with him during the Band of Gypsies, but maybe the bass was bluesy during Jimi's other days. But I've listened to a lot of different types of blues, and in my opinion, Jimi was nowhere near blues. I would guess he was that psychodelic rock or whatever, but I am not as experienced in that genre, so to be more general, he was definetly rock.

their is no way that you can be serious when u say that Hendrix is Blues. even if u know just a little about music one could tell the difference between roch and Blues.

Both Clapton and Hendrix are/were great guitar players and writers. I just liked Clapton's music better.
