One thing X-Box has going for it, that giant frickin hard drive. I loaded that bitch up with memory, and it didn't make a dent. And i stored my cd's on there too, so I can listen to my own tunes while playin my games, which has always been a wish for games with bad music.

yeah the hard drive is probably the biggest of the XBox's highlights as a system. You can store all that stuff (music and game saves) on there, and you can store downloads from Live, and then it allows for quicker load times and more memory within the games themselves.

I'm going to go with the 'Cube. I don't mind waiting for great games, the system already has as many as it needs.
And who says you must compare games, not the hardware? It's simple for me, my PS2 crashes and my GC doesn't.
If Nintendo can make 3 masterpieces a year for forever, I'll stick with them forever.

Well, I don't have an X-box so I can't really judge it. But between Playstation2 and Gamecube I'd have to go with Playstation2, because it has a good selection of games and you can go online with it too.

Yeah, that is one big flaw for PS2. The hardware breaks down easily. Three of my friends have had to have theirs repaired because it stopped reading discs. In fact, now mine is having some trouble with that. I think it has something to do with how often you watch DVD's on it.

I am on my third PS2.And I take good care of them,I am very anal about my games.
Doeseveryone's PS2 break? No.But I know only a few who have been lucky enough to have one PS2.And the dvd player on them sucks.

Everybody gets a different PS2 it seems. Mine plays DVDs fine, but crahses when it tries to load a game. I've heard others suffer from the DVD player not reading discs or something. It also seems that these problems don't effect a small minority, but do effect a large group. Hopefully Sony can fix thier problems next time around.

Here's how I view things: GCN: Good, classic games, especially with Windwaker and Metroid Prime, both, IMO, lived up to most of their predecessors... In some games, like Soul Calibur II, the controller was quite badly arranged, but nothing a little customizing couldn't handle (it'd throw off your opponents, too). It's true thatNintendo has fewer games than its competitors, but at least most are high-quality. ;D PS2: Excellent controller, hands down. Tis coming from a a man whos only used it at an aquantance's house. The PS2 has many many games, many of which are good, but also a great many of which were PS1 games as well. It can play DVDs too, an excellant feature. I have been a loyal Nintendo fan, but when I get the money, this puppy's next. XBox: Well, with minor exception, I haven't seen any games here that really grabbed my attention, and those that did had an alter ego on another system. I always seem to see nothing but sports games on this system, and I've never seen a point to a video game based on a game you can play with your friends in reality... Nearly forgot, but.... Lorrie? the GCN does/will/is supposed have an internet connection, I do believe there's a port on the bottom (or two) Whether such an adapter is out yet or not, I have no idea.

ps2 is better than all three. my ps2 has been perfect. nothing has ever gone wrong with it except that it didn't read a dvd once but it was scratched. there are many games on it that i keep playing to this day. i can't stand gamecubes 3 games a year crap. its untterly rediculous i had to go through it with my n64 and i am having to go through it again with my gamecube. i played the "major" games for cube. they are easy. way eay. wind waker simple. mario sunshine simple. the only game i found halfway hard in the slitest was metroid. but that game was still pretty easy. i'm either really good at video games or gamecube games are pushovers. i think its the second one. and another thing to add if i never play another super smach brothers game again it will be too soon. oh and another thing. the only game that i am honestly looking forward to is HALO 2. everything else is filler, except fighting games.
PS i hope mario kart is good becuase its nintendos last chance to prove to me that they aren't completely going in the gutter

ps2 is better than all three. my ps2 has been perfect. nothing has ever gone wrong with it Consider yourself lucky. And Nintendo is far from the gutter, and for a game to be good,or even great, they do not have to be super hard, just basicly fun. And from what I hear Mario Kart is sweet. The only I would have done is put it online.
