In most cases war is necessary. If I get drafted I'll fight for my damn country, it's my obligation to it. You guys are acting like little girls about war.

I'd dodge the draft like there was no tomorrow. I feel no obligation towards the United States. I'm not going to throw my life away in some petty war. I wouldn't be "making the world safe for freedom" or something like that by getting my guts spilled out in the sands of some nameless, god-forsaken wasteland... Admiral, you are the man. I couldn't not have said all of that better myself.
Bush was elected fairly.
We have found evidence of WMD. In addition to what Admiral said, they detected very high concentratoins of mustard gas in one of the rivers.
Bush has the best interests of our country in mind. He's not doing it to make money, because war isn't the cheapest thing anyway. I read an article today be a democrat (of course published in the paper, what do ya know1). He said that the US is an Imperial Empire, that Bush cares more about freedom for Iraqi children than those in the US, and that Bush is oil-hungry.
All three of those points (there were more) are bullshit. They are part of the "liberal conspiracy" as Admiral so effectively put it. The truth is that there are many democratic politicians out there that would like nothing more than to see the United States loose this war. They want our soldiers to die, and they want Bush to have to pull out. They want this because it gives them the ability to say "see, Bush was a bad leader". They don't give a shit about America, or you, or me, only their own power. THAT is the liberal conspiracy.
Now back to the three points. 1. THE US IS NOT AN IMPERIAL EMPIRE. Damn if that isn't the stupidest argument i ever heard. Britain was an imperialistic empire in the 1800s. We are not. We are dismantling the old Iraqi regime (a totalitarian dictatorship) and attempting to replace it with a Democracy. That is one of the US' goals, to spread its freedoms and its system of government to other places, but NOT TO CONTROL THEM. 2. Where did he get that Bush cares more for Iraqi children than American ones. That is a ploy to appeal to the senses of the idiot people that just don't think straight (most of whom are democrats). 3. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE OIL. After the hard fought battles, and after the new government is established, I don't doubt that we will BUY oil from Iraq. We wont take it or steal it, but we will buy it to kickstart Iraq's economy, and it will benefit us and them.

I feel no obligation towards the United States. You feel no obligation to support the very nation that has provided you and your family the ability to be where you are, and live the happy indulgent life that you live? This is the strongest country in the world. You live in safety. The only reason you have any rights and freedoms at all is because people before you and people now have given the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE for this nation, and thus for you. Many a brave American has spilled his guts out on many a god-forsaken wasteland to protect that which this country gives to you - freedom. If you feel no obligation to it, don't you dare call yourself an American. And get the fuck out.

Im willing to bet John Prine didn't live in the United States, or if he did, he was a fucking communist.

No American war since World War II has been really worth fighting for. Prine's comments were in reaction the the Vietnam War, which was definitely not fought for the highest of ideals and he did live in the United States and was not a communist.
Give me a real threat to our nation's freedom, a real chance to defend freedom and I'll fight against it, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

kinda funny, although bush is a strict conservative at home, the war in iraq would be considered a liberal war by an unbiased observer. as for draft dodging, any ass who does that should have their citizenship revoked. as for iraqs oil, once theyre ready to start selling it, theyll be able to use the money to start supporting themselves as a country, and to pay back some money to our gov't. WMD have been used by sadaam in the past against his own people, so we know he has them. And whoever talked about that guy who stopped terrorist attacks during clinton's admin., what about the USS Cole, or the Sudan embassy bombing?

Ok...There has been NO proof of WMD.Bush and his buddies made the whole thing up.If you think there were WMD,I would like to see a source on that...
And if there was a draft I would try to plea my case that I don't beleive in war,and if not then I would dodge it.I wouldn't fight for anything that Bush says, and I sure as hell wouldn't fight for his "war for freedom".End of story.

NO proof of WMD?? Really? Like Admiral said, the inspectors have found tons of evidence of their existence, but they haven't found any full weapons. Of course they're out there, the liberal media doesn't want to let anyone know they're out there. Okay people, President Bush did NOT make up the thing about WMD. I mean come one, seriously, anyone who believes that is just falling all to easily into the trap of the liberal conspiracy. Most people only say there is not proof of WMD because they heard some democrat say that sometime and they think its cool to trash talk the president. Grow up people. You have no proof that there aren't, and no proof whatsoever that Bush made it up. Would you ever fight for anything? If terrorists came into your home and shot your family, whould you fight them? Or escape and join the military to fight back? Being a pacifist when it comes to situations like that is sheer stupidity and shows only weakness.

This war IS a war for freedom. We are liberating the Iraqi people. People resisting us are pro-Sadam and many people who are not fighting for us or against us are scared of Sadam and don't understand why we're there. We are there to establish a democratic government, not control them or take over, or for Bush to get money. That is bullshit of the highest degree, pure bullshit. People will die, its war, more of Sadams men die than of our men. We are kicking this shit out of them right now, but we still lose soldiers because its war!
Give me your reasons for saying that this isn't a war for freedom. I want to hear them.
