well larger, more well known colleges will usually offer people who graduate them recognition. But anyone can get a pretty good education anywhere they go. And it is true that when someone is applying for a higher job like a manger or some type of leadership role, grades and overall success in college is looked at.

It's kinda funny, because it was more you who missed the point of my post. The grades in college matter if you plan at all to go to law school or anything like it.

I agree, college is a place for higher education. If you wan't to become anyone in the world these days though you have to have some form of college education as well as a graduate's degree.
I plan so far to go to West Point, Annapolis, or the Air Force Academy.

yeah my friend at school just got accepted into West Point. Getting into one of those academies is a big deal, and hard to do. I know that this past year West Point was rated teh hardest school in the country to get into. Good luck, seriously.

I plan so far to go to West Point, Annapolis, or the Air Force Academy. Ha if you want to become anyone. It's not like having a high-paying job and a nice house and a masters degree are the only things that qualify people as becoming "anyone" in this world. And yes good luck with getting into those colleges. I could never handle those places. They're way too restrictive for my tastes and seem to limit individuality. But whatever floats your boat ya know. I'll probably just settle for Michigan.

Michigan is a good school. Almost all colleges are good if you work hard in them. Some are jsut harder than others, but good educations can be obtained through almost all of them.

Everyone wants to go to the top tier, expensive schools, but it all depends on what you put into it. I know plenty of intelligent people who have gone to no name schools. I've also met two adults who went to Columbia University and they were two of the most ignorant people I'd ever met.

despite this...Concordia...a school i plan on attending my freshman year...the continuing to Michigan, I think i will learn less from concordia than Michigan, i think it is a worse school...prestegious schools tend to do better than a school like Normal, Illinois...but there are exceptions, lots, just a close majority for this stat...
