so how about those ppl who physically can't have kids? Based on what you say they can't truley be married if they can't have kids. Gay people are like that, they are truely in love but they can't have kids. What more complaints do you have?

Good point there. I'm not participating in this discussion really but isn't sex between two same sex partners still....sex? Something's still getting penetrated and pleasure is still to be had.

Ok, I'm not expressing my personal belief, those are... complicated. But we had this very question raised on this topic in Moral Theology class.
Same-sex 'sex' is (I'm quoting here, no hate please) a perversion of the sexual act. It is so because the ultimate purpose of sex is NOT pleasure, but procreation. Obviously, this isn't what same-sex sex is intending. But what I think my teacher isn't really taking into account is that, more and more, opposite-sex sex doesn't intend that either (enter contraceptives, etc.)
So, that's the church's beef with homosexuality. I always figured it was based off of technicality after technicality, and I don't necessarily like that kind of thinking.
Oh, and looking back, I have to agree with simplybeingloved's idea. She raises a legit point there too.

I believe that marriage is a male and female becoming one flesh. Sex, basically. But God plays the major roll here, I think.

Gay people are like that, they are truely in love but they can't have kids. What more complaints do you have? True love IS manifested in the act of sex for procreation, but that doesn't exclude everyone who can't have kids. It comes first from giving oneself to another completely (a man to a woman and woman to a man). They can still give themselves to eachother completely, and that is also true love. Maybe I should have been more specific. Was that a complaint? If so, what more complaints do you have about my complaints?
