Thousands of Iraqi citizens roamed the streets giving support to the new Iraqi governmental council. That, of course, is evidence that many Iraqi's support the new regime established by the US and British military forces.
Not a word of this was mentioned in the Washington Post, or USA Today, and it was mentioned in one sentence 9 paragraphs down in an article in the New York Times.
Ooooook, there's some evidence to suggest that the liberal media doesn't like to report on the good things going on in Iraq.

im not saying this is you, wilshire, but anyone who is just realizing this does not pay much attention to what is happening. there also was very very little coverage of afghanistan being about ready to finalize its constitution a while ago. if im not mistaken i believe the Washington Post is the more liberal newspaper in D.C. while the Washington Times a little more conservative. though i may have mixed them up.

The media has always been doing that...
"and this just in today, another soldier was killed in Iraq since president Bush declared an end to the fighting."
The media adds that to subconsciously connect Bush to the cause of the soldier's death. The media is notorious for tweaking stories to satisfy their own ends...

The US is making sure that the first governments of these "re-built" countries are not formed democratically. If they were formed by the "true american way" the US fears that the people would elect a radical who hates the US and will refuse to do trade. And heaven forbit we have a country wish to no trade with the US (hit: sarcasm) Thus, the US plays a major role in the re-building of the nations.
The US denies that though and says they are choosing the new government so it will not fall appart. Yes, you could argue that, but i believe the oil plays a bigger role.
It may be argued wrong or even right. You decide.
