Ok...i can say that defintiley Pornography, in its viewing and creating is wrong...but...i cannot judge anyone to this right or wrong unless they have the same beliefs as me...
any objections?

I've seen a little porn in my day (note my post in the magazine subscription thread...  ) and ... what was the question? Oh, there wasn't one, and I'm not really speaking against it so that doesn't count... I don't think the word "right" is the word to use, what about "acceptable" or "not so much wrong"? The existence of a thing can't be right or wrong in itself, I don't think, although the circumstances surrounding its creation/use certainly can. And the really gross stuff ... anyone who gets off to anything wholly unnatural probably needs some kind of counseling. No more detail is going to go here, as it might cause people to puke - humanity is capable of some really sick shit. Anyway as for me I'd say if it's all done with consent and a lack of people being taken advantage of then I'm not gonna fight it. There are many far more pressing problems in this world today, if you even consider porn a problem. |

i'm with foehammer on this one. i think that if you think porn is a major problem then i suggest you never leave your house because there are so many worse things out there than porn.

it is a major problem, and ill admit there are much much worse...
it wont hinder my life...its not like i wont live just because i think its wrong...ill still go to the movies...
but what others do is fine...i dont care...as long as they dont try to melest me, or some other sketch crap like that...

its a tough call, because people do consent to make porn, so its not violating them legally, but morally, it is wrong, especially fornication.
but what about this... husband and wife porn, would it be wrong, after all they are married...

i think he meant making it...but anyways...it being wrong in your opinion does depend on your beliefs and morals (or lack therof or itnerchange)...but i believe as a christian, and know as Truth it is wrong, but i cannot prove this on any level outside of Faith...so i do not want to argue that because it will get us nowhere...i think the common fact that people have a natural thought process that it is wrong or in appropriate is evidence that it is wrong...

the reason ( main) the porn is wrong according to my bible study is because lusting is a sin. and when you look at porn, your most likely lusting towards that person or persons that your viewing. now, if you can whack off or look at porn without lusting...which i think is impossible, then yes, porn is a sin against God, and is therefore wrong.
