I know I am staff and all but I really believe this forum has great potential.
Both the forums and the site are very new and small but everything MUST have a starting point.

1st of all, this kid posted this a week ago so letting it die would be a good idea. But while I'm here, I'll give my imput...I never said I wasn't a hypocrite. ^__^
This is a new board and being such, it has a small community. Other message boards I frequent (ASMR, Ariasink, Sheros, etc.) have over 8000 members. You have to constantly "bump" the thread up so it doesn't fall into the abyss that is page 2. In those boards it's all about who you know, if you're a mod or not, or rub elbows with the admin. (admin=god...lol). There is no closeness between members and everything feels so...brief. Here there's a chance to develop friendships, share views withouth having the social stigma of being a member #9999 out of 10000 and therefore ignored. But this board will grow and I'll probabbly end up being a bitchy mod or board senior who eats newbies for breakfast (you know the type).
What I'm trying to say is, enjoy the Switch board while it's small because someday we'll lose the sense of togetherness... *sweatdrops* I feel all poetic and insightful now, probabbly because I've been watching x/1999 while writing this (multi-tasking).
Edit: I realized I can't spell for [censored].

i like the smallness of the board. and just because he said it a week ago doesn't mean he didn't mean it. that wasn't a nice thing to say and this happens to be my best friends site so excuse me for defending his hard work because i don't think any of you except for mysterious man, sixswitch, and I know how long hes been trying to set this site up or how long hes been eagerly waiting to distribute those sixswitch stickers to everyone. so lets cut him some slack

Hun, I think you got my words twisted (if you were referring to me). I meant no disrespect to switch. I just thought that continuing this would just keep the bad vibe around and I've been taught that instigating fights is pointless but I've also been taught that I should justify my reasons (but I don't necesarrily follow what I've been taught). I'm used to bigger boards where people let threads that gang up on a member die, kick the member out, and lock the thread. You've also driven the poor kid out (not that I'm overly sympathetic to him, what he said was wrong and stupid). But I meant everything I said about this being a good board and whatnot.

well i think the defense to sixswitch was directed to you but the aggresion was directed to him. and its like i said we don't need people like that. we are mostly a happy bunch with a few exceptions, this being one of them. but it looks like its over and done with at least for me it is.  |
