Im surprised this stuff ever became popular. Its all about witches, and people believe in witches? There was never any written records found, written by Wiccans, Druids, or anything of the like. The Romans found some Druids in a forest and killed them all, but they never talked about witches. Wiccanism, also, was invented in the past century.
What do you think about it?
wiccanism: established in 1967 by a small contingent of old, angry, english women after smoking a large dosage of marijuana. Initial wiccan creed: "Oh I say, being witches would be fun, wot wot! Let us mosey on down to Stonehenge and make up stories!".

I think it's a bunch of B.S. I believe in the supernatural to an extent, but when girls (and guys 0.o) who watch Charmed decide to go into the Wiccan lifestyle and believe they're endowed with preternatual powers...wow.

I belive that Druids existed as there are written records left by Roman offical who talked to Gaulish and Brittish Druids. I do not belive in any of their magic or anything just that they did exist.

Yea, all that is right, but wicca today is a pagan religion practiced by many people, and is growing really quickly. Chances are there are people you know that consider themselves wiccan. Get to know one. They're not bad people. Of course, their religion is pagan and a crude attempt to understand the things of God, but getting to know a wiccan may help you understand your own faith better.

They are most definitely NOT true. Im convinced that there are a few who believe in witches and supernatural powers they wield, but that there are also a large number of younger people that are "lost" in a sense to find a religion, so they join the "popular" thing which is the New Paganism.
Still, that witch stuff is pretty funny when you think about it.

Seems to be a pretty pointless religion to me... So basically, the pretense upon which their entire code of conduct is based off of is: "we believe witches exist." Um yeah that's great, but how do they rationalize calling it a religion?

Yes but the lot lot more is all made up. Wiccan didn't exist until recently. Pagainism existed, but now there is a New Paganism. The doctrine contains other stupid stuff, but the basis of belief is that witches (of sorts) exist and have powers because of gods and goddesses (at least thats the pagan part of it).

paganism is the belief in gods of the world, imminent gods. Other religions belive in transcendent gods not of this world, and not of nature, but supernatural.

Money is an innanimate object. I don't know why anyone would make it a God, some people nearly worship it, but don't actually "worship" it like they would a god.
Pagans believe in immanent, and divine beings. But other relgions differ in that their God is transcendent, not in this world, but in us with our supernatural qualities.

umm...well many people devote their entire lives and teach everyone else that they should, and do not respect those that share these traits...i think that can qualify as making it a god...
