So I know we have seen a movie or two that brought you to tears...which ones?
For me:
Grave of the Fireflies Passion of Christ Butterfly Effect Lion King(I was like 6) Armageddon(I think that was it with Mr.Willis...) Big Fish(My eyes only watered, but if I wasn't with friends I know I would have let mroe out)
I think if a movie gets you that into the characters, and can trigger the emotion inside you to bring you to tears, the director did something right.
That's all I can think of now,but I am sure there are more.

Ah yes I let out a tear in ROTK,it would have been more but again, the whole friend thing.
And yea the Butterfly Effect surprised me,I liked the overall message of it a lot,I would suggest people go and see it,I bet it is cheaper to see now as well.
Yes Wanderer I know what you mean,it happens to the best of us.
Also I have come to the conclusion that if you don't cry or feel some emotion after seeing Grave of the Fireflies you are a emotionless bag of skin.I said it.

Indeed, Grave of the Fireflies was powerful. Although I didn't get all that attached to the little girl... My list, and don't worry, Wanderer, you're not the only soft-hearted one on this forum: Return of the King (and mind you, the first time I saw it it started at Pippin's song and didn't stop 'til I was out of the theater, and the last bout of it was because I had to leave during the credits ) Phenomenon Monsters Inc. (I cried, laughed, and then cried some more the first time I saw that one) Armageddon October Sky A Beautiful Mind (John Nash so reminded me of my weird self) The Land Before Time Ice Age There are probably others, but I can't remember them offhand. Hell, I almost cried the first time I read The Scouring of the Shire. That's gotta say something. And if they're really your friends then why did you have a problem letting your emotions out, Scott? I cared nothing that I was with friends all 4 times I saw Return of the King so far, and I cried every time, and was ridiculed once. But that was mostly in jest. If they're really your friends there shouldn't be a problem there.

I know,I just don't like to cry in front of other people, not quite sure why,I just don't.And I'm sure they wouldn't have made a big deal,or I hope not at least.

I can't say that I've ever cried during a movie. I feel sad a lot, and I get that feeling like I am going to cry, but I never do.
But I agree that when a movie can make you have that feeling, then something (if not a lot of things) were done right.
