It's probably going to be shitty, especially considering the horrible quality of the newer episodes.

Yeah, I'm not excited about this. Usually when TV shows go decide to "movie" on us, they do a crappy job on it...

I have to agree. I mean The Simpsons is one of my favorite tv shows, but I'm not so sure if a movie would be a good thing for the series. Movies based on tv series normally aren't up to par with their episode counterparts. I guess we'll all see when the movie comes out, but the article makes it sound like it may be awhile. They're "in the very early stages of developing an idea for the movie." I'm definently going to see it, but I don't have too high of hopes.

It's probably going to be shitty, especially considering the horrible quality of the newer episodes. It's so easy to attack recent Simpsons episodes. Face it, they are still good. Not as good, but still good. The writers still come up with clever satire and wit for every episode, every week. The show is still great, and always will be.

It had better be good. Look what movies did to great shows like Rugrats, Lizzie McGuire, and Hey Arnold. All cartoons and/or Disney (or as I like to call it, the Menace) projects, but still...
I mean, as if the new episodes weren't already losing their flavor....

The first Rugrats movie was good too!
I've also heard that there might be a Family Guy movie, which is a frightening concept. But also interesting...
One of the last sentences (why did they cut up that article so much, by the way?) made me sad - The Simpsons is FOX's most-watched SCRIPTED TV show. God help me if that actually places its viewership below such classics as Survivor and that show with Paris Hilton...oh Lord! I almost ended a post with that terrible name! And people always remember the beginning and the end the best, why would I do such a thing?!
