It is a great show,I plan on getting the box set of the first season(when it comes out) for Christmas,maybe...
Oh and I also wanan check out the manga,looks good.

samurai x isnt a show. its the american name for the two oavs and then the one thing that came after i guess that would make it the third oav anyways. but its not the show the show is rirouni kenshin

Samurai X is the english name of the 2 OAVs (The first one is Trust, the second Betrayal) as well as the movie. It's more of a prequel to the Rurouni Kenshin Saga and the RK movies. They're set when Kenshin is still known as Shinta during the Bakumatsu. He's a young assassain and is being trained by Hiko in Hiten Mitsurugi. I didn't really like the OAV but it explains more about Hiko and Tomoe, which was only mentioned in the anime. The fight scene in Seisouhen was kick ass (the second OAV). The OAV is pretty bloody overall but there are lots of angsty parts that made me cry. It's really different then the manga and is more tame then the anime. You really need to watch everything. Very pretty too. ^__^; But please, don't watch any RK/Samurai X dubbed. It ruins the mood. |
