****SPOILER WARNING****
Scenes and things that have taken place in the Matrix movie, along with Star Wars and Lord of the Ring movies are revealed here, so if you haven't seen any of them, reading this may spoil it for you. It's your choice though. potato.
***********************
I noticed that Matrix Revolutions had many similarities to two other trilogies, the Star Wars trilogy(now trilogies) and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
For instance, the whole defence of Zion was, in my opinion, much like the defence of that walled city in LotR Two Towers. Both armies are basically screwed going into the fight. Both were in defensive, phsyically, structures (walled and dome). The walled city in LotR had a shortage of manpower, so they were using children as soldiers, and in Revolutions they focused on that young recruit and even mentioned in a line something about every woman and child should be used in battle. Somehow, Neo's orange vision when he is blinded reminded me of the dark, shadowy world that appears when the ring is worn. When Agent Smith was controlling that human in the real world, I thought that was like Golum controlling Smeagle and doing bad while using the good reputation or image as a sheild to get people to trust him. And lastly, the ship that comes in at the end to help out is much like Gandalf and the people that come with him.
As for Star Wars, when that chick gives Neo her ship to go on a separate mission to help out the general mission, I thought that was like Han giving Lando the Millenium Falcon for that one battle. Neo getting blinded can be compared to Luke getting his hand cut off....(that was a longshot). And that orange vision of Neo's that I was talking about earlier is kind of like Luke using the Force, even though they never showed what Luke would "see" while using it.
That's all I got for now, although I had more earlier. If I remember them, and feel like posting them, I will add them later.
What do you think about it?
