i'm sure all of you know who the shins are by now, but i thought i should inform the masses that the shins are, in fact, in the process of recording their next album; and, according to james mercer, the band's leader, they should be finished recording by april and have it out in the summer, just in time for him to get married in spring, and then be able to tour this summer.
