Um scott, Linkin Park doesn't have two albums. Technically, they have four, but they actually have six if you count their EPs. And besides, if you actually go by how other people like them (the public, not just yourself) 10 out of 22 songs are hits and are played on the radio. That is pretty insane, considering their first cd, Hybrid Theory, had 7 hits out of 11 songs. Don't try to take credit away from someone that deserves it.
Anyways, whenever someone attempts to make a list of anything in the music world, they never get it right. Every single person has different tastes and styles, and a wide variety of opinions. Every single time a list is compiled, it's gonna piss some people off, no doubt. I just ignore all the lists because complaining about them never gets you anywhere.

Well to quote Linkinpark.com: Where I'm from that means two, seeing as it is their latest, and yes,Eps don't count. And the public is stupid, they like LP songs, why should I care? They are also the people that like 50 Cent and other such crap.I give them no credit.

I guess we just plain disagree when it comes to mainstream music, scott. i disagree with the list, too, but there isn't much you can do about it. they had other records out before their "debut," so by saying "debut" i think they were refering to the fact that Hybrid Theory was the one that made them big and recognizable. They release little EPs and stuff on the side all the time, but as for large records, i would say they have two or three. But that doesn't mean anything, considering they have a wide range of songs. (you were commenting on how they only have two cds out to make a point that they barely have any music out there. in fact, they have 33+ original songs out, (plus about 25 remixes) so there is no shortage of material)

I was just saying no matter how much you like a band they cannot be the best band ever with only two records.Eps,live cds, remixes, that all just doesn't add up to much more.I'm you rather have a new original cd rather than a remix one.
And yea I won't agree with the mainstream idiots,99% of everything on the radio is crap, all unoriginal crap I tell you.

How the hell can "no matter how much you like a band, they cannot be the best band ever because they only have two records" even come close to being a true statement? The definition of Best Band Ever means that eveybody likes them and they are great. So if you have one band that everyone likes and is really really great, but they only have one or two cds, that automatically makes them bad?

You can't judge a band by just two cds.It just simply isn't enough.
Wow,'we have two CDs that sold a lot',who cares.TWO CDS!It just plain isn't enough. You don't need eight million like the Rollings Stones, but you do need more than two.
EDIT: Fixed english crap.

I have some objections of my own, like where the hell are the Offspring?! Everyone remembers that Smas is the best album ever, right? Who didn't like that one? And by the way, in my opinion, it's not just everyone liking them. Lots of people like bands that have no musical talent. None at all.
I think I might have been going somewhere with that, but maybe not. It's all subjective, and very few people are likely to agree with everything on that list.

Scott: what the fuck did you just say, seriously. first of all, the english is so bad i cannot tell what you were trying to say at all. and secondly, if i do understand it correctly, you sound pretty stupid right about now.
foe: i see where you are coming from, how certain bands that rocked aren't on there. (off the record, i think ixnay is the best, smash is second)
I don't see how anyone can pin down the best bands ever, because there is no way to measure it. Also, this list that MTV has seems a little age/era biased. These bands are definetly popular 90's bands, while the title is of all time. If you are going to have a list of bands of all time, you should at least CONSIDER putting something on there from at least twenty years ago, or else there is no point (ok, fine, they put metallica and aerosmith. wow, two!)

I fixed it,it was too late... And to add on a bit some bands think they are the shit with one or two CDs.Like the Used and Avril,I don't care how it is spelled, think they are all that and a bag of chips. With one CD! I saw the Used a while ago,big mistake, and afterwards I saw the lead singer.I ask him for an autograph and he just walked away and ignored me.Thanks a lot jerk,I hope they put a second CD out.People like that piss me off... And how does LP have 'technically' four CDs?
