So I was digging around my room and I found a poster from one of their concerts so it led me to start this thead.
What do you guys think of them?
I am not a fan,maybe it's Tom's voice,I'm not sure.And they also suck live.And if you like them,too bad they won't have a CD ever again.
EDIT: Oh and I also like it when they totally rip off and Alkaline Trio bass riff.Sons of a...

I like them a lot, man. I think Boxcar is what happens when you take the actual talent out of Blink 182 and focus on it. Blink is all over the freakin place when Boxcar is mostly kickin back and relaxing during most of the songs. First of all, half of all Alk3 songs have pretty simple basslines, and you have to understand a lot of songs out there sound the same. Plus, what songs are you talking about? (alk3 and br) Besides, you never know when there could be another cd.....things happen.  |

Cat Like Thief is one of my favorite songs, and sad to say, but it has the most basic guitar and bass ever! i mean come on, A to C# to D (and D again). And for you guitar/bass players, that is 5th fret on low E, 4th fret on A, 5th fret on A. HOW FREAKIN EASY. Quit implying that they stole the riff, because it's so easy it's hard not to steal it.
No offense, but to whatever band thought that riff up first, it didn't take them too much effort. And your song kinda gets ripped by other bands when it is that simple. Just look at Blink, all of their old songs sound the same, they ripped themselves off (and probably more than once considering some of them are in Boxcar).

Who the hell cares how good of a singer anyone is? I guess its different coming from me though because being a guitar player I hear the guitar, then the vocals, so it doesn't seem as prominent to me.

well, i can handle it in boxcar, but i cant stand it in blink, so obviously he is doing something different. I dunno anything about singing voices, so don't ask me, but I don't think Boxcar's is less whiney than Blink. I'm not even sure it is whiney in Boxcar....but I could be wrong.
And I'm not sure at all what they sound like live, so I can't judge that at all.
