Five Iron Frenzy

Who here knows the Five Iron Frenzy, and who cried in November when their final tour ended ? Even if you're not a Christian you might very well thjoy their (Christian punk ska) sound and their songs are surprisingly intelligent and it's really sad that I'll never see them in concert .

Well, they had three "songs" on the sixswitch.com cd vol.1, and I am sad to say that I found them more annoying than catchy or attractive. First, the donkey basketball is too hard to hear, so it sounds kind of like limp bizkit or FATA. Secondly, I think give me back my sandwich was their best song, although it isn't exactly my favorite, and everybody prays (or praise, whatever) just plain pissed me off. that damn girl's voice is so annoying...

But if they had anything decent other than those songs, I guess I have the wrong impression about them. otherwise, screw it, they are just plaing annoying.

Those songs were all off of their 'joke' cd.Those are NOT like anything they do,so don't make a judgement off of those songs.

I like them,and even if your not Christian you should enjoy them,they don't mention God much in their music.And I was pissed I missed their last tour,oh well...

ok, good, i won't judge them as a whole just from those songs. maybe if they are good enough....I'll make them Band of the Week........(hint hint) submit them maybe (hint hint)

Thank you Scott, and yeah, their other stuff is fuckin' awesome. And recorded in real studios, don't worry. They discuss all sorts of issues other Christian bands wouldn't touch, and do it damn well. And a couple of their joke songs are simply hilarious, like Kingdom of the Dinosaurs and Kitty Doggy.

Don't let a couple of songs make you hate a band. That's just narrow-mindedness close to its worst. Unless they really do all sound the same, which these do not.

i've heard some of their stuff, very little. But from what i've heard their music is a little strange, interesting, sometimes catchy, but still strange.

yeah, if you search on google, you can find a TON of free sticker giveaways that involve you just sending a SASE. I emailed MXPX a long time ago, even though i dont listen to them at all, and they sent me a letter wanting me to join their mailing list, and some free stickers. I bet if you do that to a lot of bands, they will send you shit to try and join their fanclubs.
