Hey guys, I'm back on the forums, and I want to make a quick statement for all of you true punks out there. Yes, that cancels all of the posers. Scott and Kenny, you know what I mean. I think we need to take down the system, fight the man for a second time. We need to bring back punk rock as it should be. And no, don't try to tell me that you think bands like Yellowcard, and The Starting Line, are real punk rock. In all reality, they aren't. They're pop punk and you guys know it. Think about this. Tell me what you think. Is it time for revival? Because I think it is...

SLC Punk is very faulty though. It does make good statements. Its not all true. If you watch it, you have to look at the largest possible picture that you can of it, only then will it be true.

umm...pop punk...hmm...pop-popular...punk...chaotic simple power chord style of constant repetition of not that difficult riffs...
so...ramones...punk yes...popular...yes...Ramones=pop punk...
so maybe some different term like up beat harmonious punk?

and also...by saying that i know what you mean...i do...but others...dont get the impression that i am an all out punk...cuz im not...i like punk a lot...just not as much as other things...but it would be nice for some "anarchy in the uk" style stuff to come back...although it was 'poser' it was still the style a lot...and a lot of the additude...

Well, lets say this. If you are referring to any band, like the Ramones, that can draw a crowd as "pop." Then everything is pop and nothing has meaning aside from that. The term "pop punk" is derrived from the way it sounds and the way that some people have ruined it. Posing sucks. |

dont even get into that posing...thats so crap man...really...who are you to tell wether someone is dedicated to the music or not...if the claim dedication and are not then thats garbage...but i dont know that about them...
but posers arent about the music, its about the style and culture...so it doesnt belong here in the tunes section...bring you beef to the jungle man...
