You're right. You didn't get the position for posting the most. You got it for posting for the longest period of time. It seems to go against logic that I would get a mod position in a week. And thus, using REAL logic, just because you have a modding position does not mean you know ANYTHING about music. From a post I read, you just got it because someone else left. You have no idea what you are talking about. I didn't get the mod because one guy left and i was the first person to ask for the job or anything like that. I was REFERRED. Miqorz, the last mod, asked six, the admin and owner of this board, to have me replace him. Scott agreed, which means the person I replaced and the person that owns the board both wanted me as a mod. It doesn't matter that I was here a month and you were here for a week, it's that I have a better reputation. I'm not deliberatly putting you down, but I'm just stating the reason why I was chosen. I am nice to everyone, even if they hold different opinions and views as I, (unless they decide to start shit with me). You, a newbie to the site start shit with authority figures here and you expect to win the fight. It is as easy as a click or two to get rid of you and your crappy little attitude, but no. We keep you because we aren't snobby little bitches that end our arguements by running away. I don't see how you expect to act all big and tough in this board and get respect. I don't know if you noticed it, but nobody here really takes your side. And to think, everybody is in this fuss about a friggin band. Just let it go and grow up.

Ok this is talk about Linkin Park,not if you have good taste in music.

Music is VERY subjective.One man's fav band you might think is crap.It is just how it is,we all have our own opinion.

Nah, thats ok, since my fav bands change frequently, I will tell my recent top five. I'll even add reasons.

-CKY, great lyrics, great guitar riffs, they used to practice every day for many many many years before they even tried to get famous, so the talent is definetly there.

-Offspring, every song of theirs is great, they have an ok singer, but the guitar is beautiful. Goes to show you can keep it simple with a bunch of chords and such, but still remain original and they just plain rock.

-Green Day, nobody can explain it, but the three guys in this band come together and write some very catchy and simple stuff. Sure, they use tons of power chords, but what do you expect from a guy that also has to sing every song?

-Metallica, I know it sounds weird, but in my mostly punkish music collection, I have a place in there for Metallica. The Black Album is pure, beautiful, sacred guitar and vocal talent. So much emotion can be felt through every song. Definetly one of my most favorite albums of all time.

-Audioslave, I'm in this little band that gets together and jams every other weekend or so, and we love to play Audioslave stuff. It's pretty intermediate stuff, so its not too easy and not too hard, plus they use a lot of effects on their guitars and vocals, which we like to play around with and see if we can match it with our equipment. Every song is perfect. Just is, dunno why.

And since i can only listen to one or two cds a day, I also like these bands, but I recently have had to put them on the back burner because I can't possibly listen to eight or nine full cds every day.
Alkaline Trio, The Ataris, Linkin Park, Rooney and many many others.

have you read reviews of the new audioslave cd? check out pitchforkmedia.com because it got a 1.7. Metallica does not have sacred guitar, it is just blues riffs that others have done hundreds of times sped up. Green day is pretty good, and I love dookie. CKY is so bad. Practice doesn't mean that you can write good songs. They were meant as a joke. Their slide guitar is so weak and their riffs are repetitive crap. Have you ever heard "pretty fly for a white guy" yeah. offspring blows/

so you base your favorite bands off of ratings and other peoples' opinions? I'm sorry, but I prefer the correct way of listening to the music and actually, genuinly liking it. CKY is not meant as a joke, i dont see how you can say that. I'm not talking about their videos or crap like that, I mean their music. Their music is genuine. And I never said they are good BECAUSE they practiced a lot. You are taking my statements and turning them around before you even realize what you are saying. I stated reasons why I liked them, and you turn them into negative statements and say that is why they suck. CKY practiced a lot, and in my opinion, that is how they got so good.

And SCS, dont start that crap again. Just because I like something is not a reason for you to hate them. And how do you get that Metallica's drummer is an asshole? He sits on a stool and bangs on drums, how can he get asshole status?

my current favorite bands are Guided by voices, BRMC, mars volta, the flaming lips, and Neutral MIlk Hotel. These are all great bands. The worst of which are brmc and mars volta. They are good because they know how to write good music. They all have very distinct sounds. Me having an opinion on music isn't allowed now? If we started a post on a band that you did not like then you would rip on it. (A Cher post?) and we will see if you still listen to your trash music in 10 years. It is so disposable. Again, pretty fly for a whiteboy, what's your excuse for that.

As Tunes Mod, I would respect any topic or opinion. That is what I'm trying to say. If I say i like Linkin Park, you have no right to say how shitty they are. If you have a negative opinion, thats fine. Keep it to yourself.

As for your taste in music, I don't have any problems with any of it. It's all fine and dandy if thats what you are into. Like I said, I'm not gonna sit there and bash you for no reason. I don't hate anyone else's music, I just prefer not to listen to it.
