Musicaly they suck,but overall I think they are good stuff.
I mean,I think the Ataris are from the best musicaly wise,but theyare my fav band.
Someitmes it is the lyrics that just does it.

scott your talking in oxymorons. what good is a band if they have bad music. how is a band going to change music or be one of the greats as u have labeled them if they suck at music. it doesn't make any damn sense

Some bands can suck muscially(sp)and be good.
I mean look at Nirvana?Kurt was a sloppy guitar player and not very good,but they area very good band I love them.Sometimes,for me at least,how good of a guitar player or how complex you get doesn't matter.
I am not saying that some crappy little kid that can't play guitar is good,it is just that how well you can playdoesn't always matter.But it is not always the case.

Ok that was kinda hard to read,it is hard to explain.
Complex stuff does not equal the best bands ever.
Sloppy does not equal the worst bands.
That is about as simple as it gets for me.

your not making a whole lot of sense I think he means (and correct me if I am wrong), this. It doesnt matter the complexity of the fingerings and rhythym, but in the art of how the parts work together and are written with one another. Music can be an art form, and the thoughts used in writing it are what really counts, whether or not you play power chords and complex rhythyms.... although generally that will add to the uniqueness and art form of the song by using obscure chords and rhythyms, it is possible to have an amazing band or song without playing extremely hard music. ...take the pixies for example....they take music to a new level, they are amazing, and their stuff can be played easily by beginners. |
