Has anyone played/seen this?! it looks amazing! plus gamespy, albeit not the most credible of sources in my book, gives it a 4 out of 5 and it looks AMAZING! I really want to buy it and play it but i want your guys' opinions first.

It got great reviews, and it looks cool. Problem is, I only have satellite TV, so my only option for playing would be to get satellite high-speed internet. And satellite internet is frickin' 100 DOLLARS A MONTH. I wanna play ff11, but not for $1200 a year.

My friend has if for the computer,and loves it.I might get if for the PS2,and the hard drive that it comes with would also be useful for SOCOM,so it's a win-win deal.I am thinking of it...

I dont know if it really should get the FF label on it. It looks nice and all, but it's just.. i dunno. DIfferent. Sounds intresting, but i'm not a big fan of the whole dependence on people online, people have always screwed me over whenever i did something online. So, yeah. The single player aspect is good, but yes you can move on and square has...
It should be intresting. I dont have the cash to go out and get the game, the modem, the hard drive, and the cash per month to play.
Not saying that it cant be a good game, i'm sure it is, but it doesnt sound like my type. I may play it over at someones house before i say 'yay' or 'nay'...

Well there is no single player aspect, and it kind of forces you to party or die and pay the penalty with exp. so really no one would have a chance to screw you over since they would rely on you too. Also, square launched major server-wide events and has numerous quests, some only unlockable by reaching a certain "fame" plus many more aspects that I'm too lazy to type about right now....so there! -=Jojo=- |

I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in an online FF. Its bad enough that I don't understand what's going on in the games as it is, just what I need is more motivation to use my computer to play another game, and a long one at that.

None the less, it is an online based game. Those tend to be hard to stick with unless you have nothing better to do.

sllott, i am also thinkin about the socom harddrive/ffxI deal. it has good prospects. except i lost my socom. dang FFXI looks so tigh jp
