I've been playing the hell out of it. I'm about 65 hours into the game now. I'm level 99, have a strength of 255, have all dressperes, each character has mastered 4-5 jobs, and I'm getting my ass kicked.

i've never looked intersted in this game. it seems like they made it just to see the girls in FFX in near-nude outfits.

Well,there are a lot of revealing outfits,but think of this,so did DOA Beach Vollyball,only this game has gameplay,something DOA was lacking.

I dunno. FFX was pretty good. FFVII was awesome. I never hold a bias when i play games, esp in this one... but i think it sucks. Yes, it's addicting, but the story is a little weak. The music isnt all that great and the outfits are a bit... yeah.
It is still good, though. It is intresting. I'm somehow hooked onto it. I'm chapter 3 going around seeing what i can do off the story. Alot of the enemies are really tough. It's hard to fight battles. Still fun.

Indeed, the story isn't quite what you'd want from a final fantasy, and the main characters, well;
Yuna lacks personality. It seems like they were on the way to making a great female lead, but then sorta stopped halfway there and left her with only part of a personality.
Rikku is just fucking annoying.
Paine is supposed to be this introverted goth badass, but the fact that she doesn't really talk or reveal anthing about herself most of the time just makes her kinda boring.
Otherwise, the game is awesome and a lot of fun, 'cept for the minigames. There is not one decent minigame in the entire 40 hour experience. They even managed to make blitzball worse than it was.

I don't think it's appropriate to say press "Play". It's more accurate to say press "Watch Your Ass Get Kicked".

Does anyone even like Blitzball? Garth always talked about how much he loved that minigame. I always knew he was crazy...

I havnt played Blitz ball in FFX-2, but i almost liked it in FFX. After the HUGE tutolial, it was alright. Still a game of Chance though...
And yes, the mini games in X-2 suck lemming balls. Like theconfiguration of those Goddammed lightning towers at the Thunder plains... yeah. I got to 7 and quite there. Impossible i tell you, impossible. And the games at the Calm lands are dumb.
Personal note (wait, the whole post is...) i dont really like much mini games in a game. I'm sorry, but i dont want to play games of people playing games of people... and so on. If it's part of the story (like blitzball), sure. But it's not like a massive part of the game. A few here and there are alright, but at least make them good.

I have for you's a special little tip. Very late in the game you will acquire an accessory called Cat Nip, which allows you to hit for 9999 automatically when you're in critical condition. Now at this point in the game you'll probably be hitting for 9999 every round anyway without putting your life on the line, but there's an additional trick to this that makes it the best accessory in the game. First acquire a gunner, which shouldn't be too hard considering you start with one. Now have her learn Trigger Happy Lvl. 3. This is an attack that lets you make many weak hits in rapid succession that will in most cases add up to the damage a normal hit would give. But with the Cat Nip equipped, each little hit does 9999! If, as your second accessory you equip a speed bracer and put her in haste, her Happy Trigger Lvl. 3 will be able to get in over 20 hits, a.k.a. over 200,000 damage in one turn! This skill is necessary if you wish to reach the bottom of Via Infinito, the 100 level labyrinth in chapter 5, because the boss of that dungeon has 999,999 hp. Since your gunner will be in critical all the time and be easily killed, have your other two characters constantly using phoenix downs on her.

i believe its level 40 of Via Infinito. I think you have to beat the Black Elemental, which isn't too hard unless the damn thing casts Ultima(basically does 16,000 dmg to all characters). It only has 10,000 HP, so a couple non-elemental or magic attacks will make it be dead. Then you get the accessory.
