I know that I couldn't live with myself if I was involved in killing someone. Vash is definitely my hero in this regard. No matter how bad the situation became, he always tried to not hurt anyone
And Jeff, you could probably borrow a few things from me or Scott or someone...

I know that I couldn't live with myself if I was involved in killing someone. Amen. I don't care if someone is running at me with a knife,I just couldn't kill him.I couldn't live with it,and I have no idea how any of you could. Killing is wrong,I don't care the reason for the killing,it doesn't change the fact that it is wrong.

yes killing is wrong. but wouldn't you deem it necessary when it is the one and only way to end more killing or more undeserved harm? negotiation doesn't always work.

Thanks jim, Ithink I may take you up on that anime offer.
Someone asked how you could kill someone, I think you would too Scott if you were ever in really danger. Instincts can take over and say you had a gun, you may just pull the trigger without realizing what your're doing becasue your animal instinct will kick in due to every humans survival instinct. In times like that the rational part of your brain is suspendened and the animalistic aspect left over from our distant ancenstors kicks in and takes over.

not our distant ancestors...in Truth (evolution bash)...
furthermore...i think our instincts dont take over...we have free will...we can choose...i wouldnt...and killing does not end the killing...i could never kill someone...
if you kill Jerry...then 1000 people dont die...if you dont...they do die...what do you chose...
i chose not to kill him...i could never go directly agains God's Word...
and i think God would intervene if i kept his Word True, he would prevent the deaths...if not...i still did not violate and dishonor Him...
I could never kill a man...

Ahem. I couldn't have said it better myself. And I don't believe in war so any war we are in I am not in favor of. even a war in defense of our country or in the defense of others. are u saying that WW2 was wrong. yeh wars are bad and all but they are sometimes necessary. unless you want the entire world to be eating kraut right now because if we didn't get involved in WW2 then germany would probably hold dominance over most of the known world. yeh wars are bad but if someone starts pushing you around and starts kicking your ass are you just gonna sit there and take it or are u gonna defend yourself

And good work on that quote Ben,it's a good'n.

i have pity for you scott. you don't care enough about yourself to defend your own life. you say you have value in life well do u have value in your own life. if u did have value in your life then you would defend yourself. but i guess that is not the case

and another thing. if your friends and family were being slain right in front of your eyes you wouldn't do anything to protect them. you would let your family die just because you don't believe in killing. thats pretty piss poor. i don't know anyone else in my life that would let that happen and just sit by and watch. thats not pacifism thats cowardice

First of all, you can't not "believe" in war. War is here now, its always been here, and its part of human nature. A part that is bad indeed and should often be avoided, but there are times when it is necessary for the welfare of a people or the entire world.
Silent makes a great point. If your family was being killed, you would not take action because you "wouldn't lower yourself to that person's level"?? If anyone even tried to seriously hurt a member of my family, or even a good friend, I would make that person regret it for the rest of their lives.
