which do u like better. contrary to sixswitches review i would have to say teh original beats the living crap out of the new one. for many reasons. i am only gonna list a few because i can't remember them all.
1. first one had the best story line out of any game next to shenmue that i have ever played. second ones story line was horendous. i think getting shot would be less painfull than sitting through that story line again.
2. The first one was much longer.
3. first one was a lot more challenging, which in turn made it more fun. the hardest part of the second one was getting around the stupid ass laws they sent at you.
4. more interesting and more fun secret characters in the first one like the machina and cloud, which was mighty cool. i admit being able to get the judgemaster would be cool with all his special attacks but when compared with cloud he didn't hold a candle.
this is not to say that the second was bad there were a few good points:
1. the new was less technical than the first one, with less stuff to learn and easy access. (i am talking about the monster of a tutorial in the first ones main menu)
2. the game was directed towards a younger audience which isn't bad because it opened the door for them to better games in the FF series and other strategy games and the like.
3. the most oustanding thing for this newer version of the game was the easy way of switching job classes and the taking away of job points, where you would spend points to buy new abilities. i like it better with weapons teaching abilities.
4. no faith meters which decide how potent your spells are to hit and the damage they deal which was a huge pain in the first game
as i said before i love the second game. it was spectacular in a lot of aspects but i just love the first game better. i mean really try and find a better story line than that game
