Yuck. IGN. *shudders*
Anyways, I think the PSP can have one of two outcomes.
1: Since it's Sony, everyone will buy it and it will thrive, or 2: Nintendo's dominance will remain as the American public will right it off as another handheld that can't compete.
I see number 2 happening. So I sure hope this thing is good. I hope Sony focuses on the games and not making it have a phone, operating system, cheese grater, or something else unnecesary. (Although a cheese grater would be useful...)

I think I see a mix of the two happening. If its not terribly overprices then a bunch of people will probably buy it; howeer I think that Nintendo is still gonna stay on top just because they've been dominating the handheld market for years.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be another N-Guage.I also hope it be $100 or less, but I doubt that will happen seeing as Sony knows everyone will pay top dollar fort heir stuff, even if it is crap.

One issue I'd like to confront though. The Gameboy is extremely durable, i.e. the one I left out in the rain for a week that still works like new. That PSP looks like one unfortunate fall onto the kitchen floor will flush your money down the toilet, and into purgatory.

I think that you're right and I never really thought about that. I guess people are gonna have to be a little extra careful with it.

And maybe they won't make it out of tin foil and paste like the PS2.

And maybe they won't make it out of tin foil and paste like the PS2. I must've had really good luck with my PS2 or something. I've never had any problems with it. It's never froze, never broke, never anything. All it's done is work how it's supposed to. My PS2 is one of the first ones made though. I bought it a couple months after the release.
