I know what l33t (elite?) talk is, just a bunch of letters mixed with numbers to look like words, and its used by gamers and such. But why do people use it? It seems more complicated then just using simple abbreviations or alternate spellings of words. I just don't get it. Does anyone here use it? and if so teach me some.

internet talk is just shorthanding your writing in order to convey your point across. l33t is for losers who have way too much time on their hands so they seek to complicate the way they write words jsut for the sake of wasting time and confusing the person on the other end of this rediculous crap
