GTA3 or Vice City

It is hard and they are both good,but I would go with III.It is just more dark and I think it fits the GTA series better,but I still love both.

well lets try to break this down into catagories like which game had the best music, GTA 3 had a techno station and the music from scarface which was awesome and as ashamed as i am to say this, Vice City had some pretty good 80's music, didn't know there was such a thing. maybe if we break down the areas of gameplay and such i think we can come to a much more agreeable conclusion

i pick GTA 3, cuz it was just so innovative, and took the gaming industry by storm.
VC ust took GTA 3 and added more weapons and neon lights.
Plus, in GTA 3 the charcter you played didnt have a personlity and didnt talk. this meant that you could easily put yourself in to the role, and feel like you were the criminal, making it more exciting.

And finally, i think it just had more charm. ;D

ok i can respect that but i think that a lot of people enjoyed the fact that there character had a personality. for me it was great because he gave attitude back to the people that were bad mouthing you all the time. almsot like a "i take shit from nobody" type deal. also don't foget that access to the inside of buildings, purchase of buldings, earning a profit, all new cars even if some were variants of the old ones, new stations with many new song, more interactive gameplay such as shooting out tires or breaking into someones car with a bat, uuhhhh did i miss something..... oh yeh helicopters, robbing stores, and many more things. but you knew that right


and a lot of people respected the fact that they had ray liota play the voice of tommy cause if u have seen goodfellas or any other movie hes been in then u know what i mean

Yea buying the buildings was cool,but going in them was stupid.Cops and other people can't follow you in so what was the point?

And I liked it better without the main character talking,like in Zelda.

the point was to hide from the cops because they couldn't go in buildings

Yea kinda,but in real life cops can go inside places,and the gun shop shouldn't be your "safe from cop zone".I didn't like that.

indeed, you hold some points ShinGouki.
However, i dont think the voices were needed in GTA, cuz if a guy gave you shit, like the mob boss, then you told him you wouldnt take shit by making him explode.
but i do admit that getting Ray Liotta to voice Tommy was cool.
But the biggest thing a liked more about GTA 3 was having Lazlow on Chatterbox. that was just great.

yes i think that he was much funnier on chatterbox than he was on the rock station. matter of fact he was terrible on the rock station

if i had to choose i would say vice city because it had some slight improvements but GTA3 was very good

Yea but moreso GTAIII.I mean VC is just a clone of it in a different setting and with some new stuff.But that doesn't stop it from being a great game.
