DONT LAUGH. those theories are backed up by sound mathematics. i personally believe that parallel universes are out there (not ones u stumble into by accident like in the movies); but other universes nontheless. one cool thing about that is that in these other universes there's no guarantee that humans are the dominant species, or that they even exist. thousands and thousands of possible evolutionary possibilities could have occured. neways, what do u people think?

I believe in parallel universes. I don't think we're the only life out there...All those Sci-Fi books conviced me. ^_^; But seriously, I'm with you Mark on the whole evolutionary process stuff. We're probably the backwards rednecks of the galaxy.

Oooh. I loved that series by Pullman. The Amber spyglass made me cry...*tear* It would be cool to have a knife to open up different dimensions...but you might not end up in the nicest place on earth.

yeah, i love that series (and i admit the amber spyglass also made me cry.... ) but a knife like that would be awesome. evolution like in that world where the animals rolled on the sulfur "roads" would be sweet to watch

I believe Gil is refering to Robert E. Lee with an Ak-47 and the classic shot of Hitler and Stalin (the world's most infamous tyrants) teaming up with Churchill and Roosevelt to fight aliens. Alternate history books DO have the best covers. Oh yeah, if you want to read about the multiverse try The Fabric of Reality by David Deutsch or The Universe in a Nutshell by Steven Hawkings.

The One frickin’ sucked cat balls, man. Hollywood is killing Jet Li. He needs to go back to making movies in Hong Kong. Same thing with Jackie Chan. His Golden Harvest movies were so much better than any Tuxedo or Medallion movie made in America, the single best country for wrecking movies.

umm seiryuken i don't think u know what your talking about. we don't reck movies. we make spectacular movies. um heres a few... apocalipse now, godfather 1 and 2, green mile, kill bill, matrix (all of them), pulp fiction, lord of the rings the list goes on and on. the fight sequences for the one were cool and it wasn't all that bad of a movie, it had an interesting plot idea of many different people of the same body and as those people diminish the remaining ones become stronger. that concept is really interesting for me at least. the alternate universe thing although contradictory to popular religious belief is a definite possibility in my book. i don't know if i would like what i saw on the other side but the thought of it just being there is intriguing
