i once had one where i pretended to be a suicidal lesbian, but our librarian caught on and deleted it. other than for a joke, i think they are lame

i also recently had one, but i never wanted to update them, and if people really care about your life, they can ask you about it; if you have a journal, anyone can view it, even creepy stalkers or people like breif...eww, so i just stopped updating mine and i took the link off of my profile

Ditto on that vote. I use one. That's me. I dont weep in it like many others though. I also talk to others about what i post in it, not just not talk to people about my problems or life and just post in it. Though, many people dont have lives and spend every waking hour on it, i just use it to rant about things, issues and beliefs and give a list of what i did for the day. Pointless? All in your own position. Yay. If used in moderation. |

well, i like journals.
for one, people tend to be honest in them....
there also fun to get rid of some stuff thats annoying you by writing it down :-) its also something to do when you're bored.....
i have one,, and i dont really care if people that i dont know read it, cuz i dont put my number or address on it....
its fun!

i wanted one a while ago, but then i realized nobody would look at it, and the people that would i wouldn't want looking at it. plus, nobody would give me their code or whatever, so i would have to pay for it if i really wanted it.
i've tried to keep some sort of journal/daily log just to help my memory and shit, but i always forget to write in them, and after a week i will remember, but then im too lazy to start it up again. so o well, fuck um.

I have a journal on which I post periodically, usually ranting, linking to sweet-ass webcomics (of which I read many), or whine about my problems and how I need a woman. So my vote would be for yea, but apparently that word doesn't exist on this board or something. Why not try "yes or no" if you don't know how to make your poll answers grammatically correct?

Ok, why do people start these?! They freak out when their parents read their diaries, but not when hundreds of COMPLETE STRANGERS read them? Plus, most are boring and have no real weight on life. I mean c'mon people I dont want another quiz result or who jenny is dating lately! I want reallllly messed up s*** if you're goin to post for me; like an illegitimate child or something!! I get tired of them so for me, it is nay.

i started one...its okay...i try to make it more exciting than a recap of my boring life...but people dont ask about my life really...so this is how i put it out...and i dont care if anyone reads it...i would do a journal...but then noone sees it and i have to hand write...
also its a good way to channel thoughts...if you do it...okay...if you dont...okay...
its a personal thing...thats like saying "are people who dont wear hats good or bad?"

I have a journal that came with my membership to another db. My friends are the ones who read and comment on it, whether they are my real life friends or people who I meet through discussion boards. Strangers might read and comment but they're nice for the most part. Having them read it is different then my mother because I don't care what strangers think, but mother would kill me if she found out my darkest secrets. Thank goodness she's computer illiterate. In my journal I rant (a lot), talk about people that piss me off (a lot), and sadly, the usual girl thing...my non existant love life. Journals are cool, but I don't have the time to write in mine more then twice a week (or, I'm too lazy to). It's a good way to get things off my chest.

What do you all think? well i am number 2, i have never thought about getting one because..one reason...i think they are freaking stupid. people go there and complain about people and probelms, but how lame can you get, go tell a real person or something. too many people bitch about me in theirs so thats another reason i them. "today robin made me mad blah blah blah"...haha and who wants to know the details of yoru day anyways, tell someone you know...and its cool if you guys do have them, just dont turn it into the diary of a pathetic stupid emo kid. |
