Yes... the Chaun feels that the real trouble was caused by the reading and science sections. The first verbal? Not very difficult. The math in general? No more difficult than usual. Everything else? Just plain aggravating.

i thought it would be so simply but it wasn't quite what i thought it would be. I thought I was the only one that thought it was ridiculously timed. I really thought the math was hard, but then again i'm not that great at math in the first place. The first part was easy.. the english, the math was hard the reading was easy excpt for the fact that i had to hurry at the end (i don't know if it's the same on all coasts but did u get the passage about the buildings i wanted to cry cuz it was so boring> and the science was moderate, maybe cuz i'm taking AP Bio so some of that crap I knew. If the test is harder then they grade easier.. right? Someone told me tha once you miss 3 to 5 questions on one section your hopes for a 30 are gone. I hope that's not right. Have you taken the ACT b4, i haven't. Are you a good standardized test person because i suck badly, like the sat.. haha taht was awful, like the worst you could possibly imagine. But i got an ok writing score.. SATII math= bomb. How about you?

The Chaun would like to think so, but the Chaun has found it hard to relate his scores to anything. His Chaunosity usually does well on the reading, but again, the science was just painful.
Oohh... the Chaun likes science too...

Now this is making me feel bad. People always say that minorites and women do better on the ACT...now I'm not so sure. >__< Damn science to hell and throw the math section in after it.

No sweat Sarien, not unless you're a minority too... then you'd be disappointing BOTH groups.
hehe
As to that, the Chaun never seems to do as well as he would have hoped. His Chaunosity notwithstanding. The ACT stunk. The SAT was alright, but who the hell does better on the verbal than on the math?

Way to make me feel better.

But I actually do ok on the SAT. The verbal is alot easier for me then the math. The math section bites me in the ass and it looks worse because I do really good on the verbal. It's like "oh, a *** on verbal...but that math score, she must have fallen asleep." I've been told that many times (by mother mostly)...as for my result, I don't talk about grades, however good or bad they may be.

I took the SAT thrice, and did progressively better. The ACT i took only once but i didn't like it. Some find it easier than the SAT, some find it harder, some find it the same. I scored roughly the same but eventually did better on the SAT. I was never a great standardized test taker, but oh well.

I took the ACT about 3 years ago now ... good God, I feel old. I found it rather boring, except for the Science section, which I found a good deal confusing. I had to go real slow there, but the rest of it was not too bad. I never heard anything about how the scoring works, but if that's the case then I did even better than I thought. I took each test only once, and did better on the ACT. By the way, I am a male European mutt (Scottish, Polish, German, Italian) so I'm about as white as it gets. Except that I'm not Irish, so I could be a hell of a lot physically whiter. But I digress. Standardized testing was not so terrible for me.
