Time has no effect on price,it doesn't cost too much more to make a 40min cd then it does to make a 70min cd.And if you think $12 is too much for a cd...

over priced CD's are based off the shipping prices, copyrights, all the tours and legal stuff...like royalties...
furthermore...the cd's could be cheaper, but the average profit from a product (just the cost - income, not including wages and stuff)...is about 200%, so you pay $5, and sell for $10

if profit was 200% wouldnt it be selling for $15? youre only making 100% profit if you double the cost.

How can one tell if a 30 min. recording took longer to make than a 60 min. one? Maybe the 30 min. recording took longer to write, perform corectly, produce, etc...
Measuring a CD by it's clock time isn't very useful. Quality is more important than quantity.
I think we drifted off topic a bit though.

haha yes pay them the money.pay them the whole $5 they get from the cd you buy.screw the middle man. it would be cheaper just to get the cd straight from the artist themself.

If you don't buy cds and only steal bands music you are a jerk.It is because of you that cd prices just keep getting higher and higher.Not to mention you are being selfish.I don't mean this to a specific person,just in general.
