The worst part about square dancing was Mr. Steege tried to claim it was an outcome and a standard, so we had to act like cowboys/hicks/rednecks to go on to 10th grade. He said if we didn't pass we would have to do it with a bunch of old ladies in the summer. For some reason people gave me strange looks when I expressed my joy at the prospect of square dancing with old women.
