well, as you all know by know, im leaving, so i figured why not do one more "what are you listening to now?'' post.
so here it goes, and this one is kinda special. i was listening to my playlist on shuffle, and this one came up, and i didnt even know the name of the song, it was on a six switch cd. i really listened to it, and it just clicked with the moment. the song really spoke to me.
The Get Up Kids - Overdue (please, in rememberance of me, download/whatever, just listen to this song, for me)
if you listen to it, you can either be singing along with it, or listen to the song and let the singer speak to you. i chose the latter. it felt like he was singing to me, letting me know its been a long time. its a tough song to follow, at least for me. at first it sounds like your typical "i've been waiting for you" song, but its a little deeper.
to me, its about letting go of what you wanted for so long. being realistic, understanding the truth, and realizing your vocation. im not becoming a priest or anything, far from it. but i have realized a lot of stuff i've been putting off and shit that i'm doing that i shouldn't. i hope everyone has a good time and the boards grow and multiply.
i strongly suggest everyone pop in their Six Switch CDs for my sake, even if you don't like them, just give each song a shot. Scott put each song on there for a reason, either to make us laugh, groove to some good ska, rock out, or just relax and think about everything. so pull out one or all of them, and just give them a good listen for scott and my sake.
peace.
mods, ill be posting one final time in the conference room, in my topic.
