In response to SilentDemon, (too lazy to hit the quote button)
Yeah, I guess you can say that about the drummer, because being a guitarist, I focus more on the guitarists or the guitar parts of songs. I just love that song, how it goes from elegant acoustic, to a more elegant 12-string guitar, then slams into a distorted, power-chord heavy electric guitar. I'll check out some of their drum songs too. By the way, its hard as hell to listen to alot of their stuff cause there's so much of it.

Yeah, I dunno. Stairway to Heaven is okay and all, and there seems to be many fans of it on these boards, I just wish someone besides me would agree that Over the Hills and Far Away is on of Zeppelin's greatests. That song was like, number one of like five songs that inspired me to play guitar. to be frank, i don't think that stairway is their greatest, i much prefer songs like "immigrant song" and "heartbreaker" and then "communication breakdown" and "black dog" all sweetness in itself

Ha, we dont have any Zeppelin CDs at my house. We used to have four tapes, but my dumbass dad leaves them in the car and they are faded and jacked up. I think we have some records, but I dunno. I should like burn every Zeppelin song on CDs when I get my new computer.

the only reason stairway to heaven is famous is because the guitar sounds cool. "If their a bushel in your hedgegrove." what the hell does that mean. And then it breaks into hair metal? wtf. Antone who knows anything about good music doesn't think that song is amazing. It's ok.

some good bands are Neutral Milk Hotel, The Mars Volta, The Flaming Lips, and Wilco But my all time favorite is Guided By Voices. everything they do is awesome ( over 6,000 songs from frontman Robert Pollard) everyone should get their new album Earthquake Glue.
