anyone a huge fan of warcraft/starcraft. amazing games, all of them. talk about anything warcraft/starcraft here. and please refrain from saying that this is better than that (refearing to the ongoing rivalry between westwood and blizzard (the leading RTS developers).

I played the hell out of Starcraft. I still play it every once in awhile. All three Warcrafts also kept me busy.
I used to play Warcraft 2 on battle.net. Being a dial-up user, that's about all I can play. I was ranked within the top 100 in ladder for about a week, but then the records got erased and I didn't bother getting it back up again. Good times though.

The almighty Blizzard definately rocks. Warcraft 3 has continued to provide me with hours of entertainment. I've recently started playing it off and on again and it's great. Long live Blizzard.

Yeah, I've played every mainstream Blizzard title. All of the Warcrafts, Diablos and Starcraft and must say they are splendiferous indeed...

Never played any of the Starcrafts, but have played the WarCraft, Warcraft II, WarCraft II expansion, WarCraft III, and WarCraft III expansion as well as both Diablo and Diablo II. I think Blizzard make the better games. However, Westwood's Command and Conquer series is still great, espically the 1st person shooter that beats Halo, C and C:Renegade.

thanks for completely disregarding the request not to compare the two different companys and their games. but yeh i would have to say that WC3 was amazingly fun. but suprisingly i didn't get a lot of play time out or at least as much as i should have with a game that was in the making for the lifespan of a goddamn galaxy. it was fun but it got old fast for me. maybe the expansion will spruse things up a bit, but untill i get the cash i will have to keep playing the original. anyone ever played WC 1. i think i am one of the few unlucky ones to expirience this game. skirmish was a joke. all you had to do with the orcs was make a warlock. they can summon demons. all you need is one demon to end the game. i mean thats how easy it was. but all great series have to start somewhere right.

No, it was inevitable. Anyway, yes as stated above in my last post here, I have played Warcraft one and still occasionally play it. It was a great game for its time. And I have to disagree, the orks could get owned by a wall with a water elemental behind it. THe orks had a significant disadvantage as the heling power of the humans was insane. I always found the ork warlock to be rahter powerful tohugh as well. I though the scopians for humans and spiders for the orks was pretty cool to. THey were great scouts.

no you could use the mouse. and the water elemental sucked a big nad compared to the demon. i remember playing the hardest setting for skirmish and i still womped on them with one demon. accasionally i had to send in another one, but thats still rediculous

I have never played the first WC,is it true you can't use the mouse? You could use the mouse, but you could not "click and drag" to select multiple units. You had to select one, hold a key on the keyboard (CTRL, I think,) and click another to select multiples. The most you could select at once was four anyways... But, as said before, Warcraft was one of the earliest PC RTSs, and formed many basic ideas that future developers prospered from.

I have Warcraft 2 and Warcraft 3, and Starcraft and its expansion pack. ALL OF WHICH I GOT FOR FREE I MIGHT ADD . Yeah they were great games, I don't play them much anymore. I realized a short time ago that I lent my copy of WC3 to my uncle and I haven't gotten it back yet, but I am visiting him this Thanksgiving so maybe I will get it back so I can play it some.
