Which is the best Zelda, and why? Note: I had to combine Ages/Seasons, since there were only 8 spots available for the poll.
My favorites would have to be the two I mentioned, Oracles of Ages and Seasons. Excellent 2-d gameplay, great design, nice extra features, and the origin of my screenname. Fun all around.

I'd have to say Ocarina of Time. Hours of fun. I've never played Oracles of Ages/Seasons, so I couldn't comment on that.

I'd say Oracle of Ages/Seasons also for pretty much the same reasons. Plus you can take it anywhere since they are for gameboy ;D

Ocarina of Time for me, cuz it was probably one of the best and smoothest transitions to 3D I've ever seen. Most of the time when a series evolves in to 3D, it's stricken with crappy control, or bad camera, or something that hurts it badly. Other good 3D transmissions include Metroid and Metal Gear.

Yeah, and Ocarina has the fishing mini-game. Nothing tops that.

Ack, I'm torn. I loved OoT because it was a perfect game overall, but Majora's Mask had the Fierce Deity's Mask, complete with Sword Beams and those creepy blank eyes... Aw hell, my vote's for Ocarina of Time!

I'd say Ocarina of Time. I own it and Majora's Mask for N64. But MM was just too weird with that time count thing. I liked Ocarina of Time the best because it was straightforward and it had some great places to go and lots of variety.
" A great adventure romp! " 2 thumbs up from Wilshire.

I'm going to have to say that A Link to the Past was by far the greatest Zelda game ever. It was made for SNES, and its still better than a lot of RPGs that are currently out.

OoT is my second favorite game of all time next to FFVII, so yes I believe it's my favorite Zelda.
