I own the X-Box version, cuz my brother offered to pay for $25 of it to get Spawn. I must say, it ain't bad. The normal controller is frickin' terrible, but the S controller works really well. The graphics are astounding, and the load times are like greased lightning. Although I don't like Spawn, he's kinda cheap.
Which do you prefer?

i would have to say the ps2 version dont have it but played it at a gaming store it was cool and plus im a major ps2 fan

PS2 is probably the worst version. First off, it's got the least polished graphics and crappy load times. And then worst of all, of all the characters, they had to choose Heihachi. Talk about bringing a knife to a gunfight. They could have had Strider Hiryuu, Shinobi, even Tidus, the bedwetter. Now I understan that Heihachi is Namco, which is who's making SC2, but Spawn isn't Namco.
Anyway, the PS2 does have the advantage with the best controller.

Well you could always get that controller converter thingy, that lets you use your PS2 controller on your GC. Then GC is defnally the best. Although I actually heard the buttons on the GC controller were well-placed.

Yea I have the demo for the game on GCN it isn't too bad,but the PS2 has the best fighting controller.I think it is worth it for Link.

heres the deal:
Gamecube: shitty controller. some combos call for the use of two buttons and those two buttons happen to be the x and y jelly bean buttons. those two buttons are hard to hit together in a consecutive motion. but for some people there is a ray of sunshine coming from this game and that is link. for me i never got connected with link so hes not a big factor for me.
Xbox: better controller than the Gamecube (buttons are positioned better), but still not all that great. has the best graphics and least loading time. spawn is a cool character. but i hear hes kinda cheap. maybe but u can be cheap with just about everyone and there is always one or two counters for a character who is being cheap.
PS2: the best controller for fighting games. perfect arrangment of buttons great for making combos. worst graphics, but that doesn't mean that the graphics are bad. longest loading time which can piss people off, i would look at it as a quick breather before your next fight. and there is of course there is that terrible character Heihachi. now heres what i am thinking about this guy. since he is using his fists hes either got to be a bit stronger when connecting or he has to have some awesome and brutal combos to lash out.
i'm thinking of getting the xbox one and maybe get a ps2 conversion plug if i can find one.

Well, I just went to a friend's house for a mini-tournament and payed his GC vesion. That damnable controller caused me to lose several matches. Now I know they did what they could with what they had, but they should have redesigned that controller from the beginning. It simply was not made with fighting games in mind.
And Link is a pretty good fighter, but having projectiles is something that just should not be in a game like this.

the xbox version is about as good as the ps2 in the controller division. spawn is pretty dumb, they should have had him use his chains as the weapon instead of an axe. he is just so wierd with that flying head butt move and all the other things he can do

Yeah, I was so pissed that he doesn't even use his chains. But he does have that "hellblast" projectile attack that he never actually has in the comics. Plus, we've already determined that projectiles are foolish.

yeh for christ sake, i consider him filler. they could have had so many more better characters instead of him for the xbox or instead of hiechi for ps2. dante would have been cool for the ps2
