It's a proven fact that the system with the most RPGs wins the battle.. SNES Vs. Genesis N64 Vs. PSX Vs. DC GCN Vs. XBox Vs. Ps2 thats not really true. i think the main factor in winning is either a head start, which the ps2 has, or have quantity and quality in their library of games, which ps2 has. and xbox has a lot of games out too and a lot of them are pretty good games, but it does not have as many games as the ps2 does

I only have 2, and they are N64 and XBOX. I never played video games before N64 came out so I don't really have a favorite among older systems. But from what i've experienced i'd say XBOX is the best....simply b/c its got power and a decent game library.

Power means nothing. Space invaders and Galaga are more fun than half of the X-Box library, and needless to say, they don't have excellent graphics.

The only thing that matters to me is gameplay.
Who cares about graphics or the movies. It started with games depending on gameplay and it shouldalways be that way.

SNES definitely receives that ribbon in my opinion. no other gaming system could hit so much perfection in its games. nowadays we have these games that are based all around graphics and looks. its deeper than that in SNES.

well you can't have a game with just good gameplay unless of course its a fighter which never needs a good story. whats important for a game is to have some solid structure. u need to have good gameplay yes but that is not the only thing important. you MUST also have a good story line, unless like i said in the case of fighting games, the game shouldn't be so complicated and so hard to figure out that nobody will want to play it like steel batallion or contra. and it has to be fun to play. want to know why everyone liked GTA3 and the like was because it was fun to steel cars and do jobs for mobsters. graphics don't hurt either in a good game, because in the early stages of a game thats all u get to see are the screen shots, and i think i am correct in saying first impresions are important.

That may hold true for games today but games of the past had no story, just game. That is why they are just classics, and always so much fun to play.

well, todays games are just focused on story and quality of graphics... the only game that i recall having a sweet plot and gameplay was a link to the past, and that was snes...

i'm sorry i don't think i heard that right . how can u say that. are u saying that none of the games since then have made an impact on u. not shenmue, not GTA, not MGGS, not KOTOR, not zelda windwaker, not FFX, not casltevania aria of sorrows, not anything. now i don't think you are giving any of these games a fare chance
