The Chaun'll probably just get "a shitty piece of plastic" too. Hey, all you bowling enthusiasts: is it possible to buy a decent ball for a mere $100.00?

Grape Juice, shut up. Everybody hates you. And yes, Chaun, acording to Carrier himself, you can do good with a $100, but he also keeps telling me to go a little more, like $120 or $130 or something. Just avoid straight "plastic," as I have seen that it cannot do anything special at all. Ask Carrier about all this, he knows much much more than I do. (That was a queue for Clump to come and post)

Don't a lot of balls start off with normal bowling material and then just get coated in plastic? It's pobably not as durable, but how bad is that? Relatively speaking?

They're either straight plastic, particle, or reactive resin. They're not coated, they're made out of it, except for the whole wieght block dealie.

Hmm... Now the real question is, should the Chaun go for quality or hilarity?

hilarity. then your crap bowling scores can all be blamed on your hilarious, but horrible, ball.

I'll give you the connector thing for 2 bucks. huh, really? problem: I should be almost infamous by now for this, but I'm always broke... even two bucks would be a task at this point, but... We'll see...

I don't think so. They're either straight plastic, particle, or reactive resin. They're not coated, they're made out of it, except for the whole wieght block dealie. The plastic, urethane, resin, or particle resin is only a thin shell surrounding a foam inside in which the weight block is put. It is quite possible to get a good ball for a mere $100 also. I got my first one for that much and its a particle that can still put up the bigger numbers.
