The main way i have heard to break bad habits is to not do the habit your trying to break for 21 days and the habit should be succsesfully out of your system. I've heard 8 weeks. Thats quite abit longer. It also seems that quitting one bad habit leads to gaining another. Like people who quit smoking but start chewing the hell out of pencils. Of course chewing pencils is better than lung cancer.
